VIDEO: A$AP Rocky First Member Chosen For MTV’s ‘Fab 5′ Of 2012 List

Lemme just give you a little backdrop on what MTV’s ‘Fab 5′ exactly is;

Conceived on MTV Jams in 2005, the Fab 5 is a collection of the year’s most outstanding new hip-hop artists who have made an impact on everything from touring to releasing their debut albums.

Every Monday Rob Markman of MTV will be giving us a mini breakdown of the artist plus a video of them.

The first candidate Markman went with; Harlem’s own A$AP Rocky. Over the past calendar year Rocky has given us one of the best mixtapes of 2011 (LiveLoveA$AP), went on tour with Drake for Club Paradise, killed it at Coachella as well as every other show he’s done. It’s safe to say, Flacko is on the rise and then some.

If I had to guess who else would be on the Fab 5 of up and comers – Troy Ave, Kendrick Lamar, SchoolBoy Q, Smoke DZA, Danny Brown, 2 Chainz and Action Bronson are a few candidates that come to mind.
